MaKayla was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. During her childhood, you would have likely found her competing in any sport or outdoor activity.

MaKayla graduated from Heelan High School, and went on to Morningside College in pursuit of continuing her basketball career. Little did she know, MaKayla would meet a few incredible professors that would propel her toward her forever passion—law.

MaKayla then attended Drake University Law School and was given the opportunity to begin working at Spaulding & Shaull. During this time, she not only found her second family, but a fierce dedication to helping those in need, especially those who have been injured at work. It is this fierce dedication that pushes her each and every day to fight for individual’s legal rights.

Today, MaKayla still very much enjoys any outside activity especially if of a competitive nature. She also enjoys live music of any genre and traveling as much as she can.
